For this exhibition Tran will share a mini-retrospective of projects that were previously created in different international locations, but will be reimagined for Nanaimo. Many of the works will be produced by local artists or made in collaboration with members of the community, including Chantelle Delage, Marshal Hopkins, Julia Knowlden, Denisa Kraus, Mon Petit Choux, Tuyet Anh Nguyen, Denise Tierney, Charlotte Zhang and others.

Art Education Assistant

Nanaimo Art Gallery seeks an energetic, creative and organized candidate for the summer position of Art Education Assistant. Based in Art Lab, the Gallery’s dedicated education space, the Art Education Assistant will work closely with members of our staff team and contracted professional artists to support the delivery of a range of innovative, hands-on programs for children, teens, and adults including Saturday Studio, art camps, Dazzle Camouflage, adult workshops and other initiatives. 



Within walking distance from the historic Nanaimo waterfront, Nanaimo Art Gallery | Art Lab offers a unique environment for a meeting, seminar, presentation, cocktail reception or dinner party. Located near major hotels, funky coffee shops and outstanding restaurants, your group can convene in the centre of the arts and business district downtown.
